Your school/organization
is invited to lend a “paw” to help Kansas City’s
homeless pets by participating in the 4th annual metro-wide Fetch
Fur Pets Contest.
NBC Action News Chief Meteorologist Gary
Lezak will honor the top two schools/organizations during
the 10th Annual Kansas City Pet Telethon on Sunday, March 14,
2010. In addition to the three-minute live segment during the
Telethon, the top two winners will be featured during a two-minute
commercial slot.
Students are encouraged to be as creative
as they like to raise funds for the animals.
All funds must be received to the Humane
Society of Greater Kansas City no later than 4 pm, Friday,
February 26. The winners will be notified on Monday, March 1. Camera
crews will visit the two winning schools/organizations the first
week of March to tape footage for the two-minute commercial to
air during the Telethon.
